Young freelancers and workers, age 16-28, can often face high stress and low energy during their workdays. This translates into a lack of fulfilment & enjoyment from their work. They often feel unsatisfied in the process of achieving their set goals. Their stress, productivity and energy levels play an essential role in this process and in the amount of satisfaction that they feel while working to achieve their goals. The initial customer group likely experiences a lack of fulfilment & enjoyment from their work and are actively investing time to find a solution.
Young starters, age 16-28, who translate from their student life to starting their own business or working for their first company often face high stress and low energy during their workdays. This translates into a lack of fulfilment & enjoyment from their work. Re-set is a web app that gives these young starters insight by helping them to structure their daily reflection process. The reflections are specifically aimed at mapping whether the activities that users undertake are more on the burn-out or bore-out side of the spectrum. The user will self-reflect upon possible solutions and implement them through goal setting.
The mission behind Re-set can be divided into two goals. The first goal is to enable young workers to get a grip on their workflow through guided daily self-reflection. Our mission is to increase the enjoyment and fulfillment that they get from their work. This is done via design for behavioral change. The second goal is to get a better understanding of how designers can design product that provoke positive behavioral change that is beneficial for their users. As designers Joris and Mervyn are working to achieve both goals simultaneously through the development of Re-set.
